Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kochi

Upon arrival meet with our representatives at Kochi Airport or Railway Station and then reach the hotel room booked for you with their assistance. After taking some rest you can get ready to visit some local quaint points.

Day 02: Kochi

Have breakfast and then get ready to visit Kochi and its attractions. Kochi has the best preserved history of colonial times and is one of the ancient cities of India. You can visit the famous Mattancherry palace or Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets etc. You will also see the St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Santa Cruz Basilica etc.

Day 03: Kochi – Kumarakom (100 km – 02½ hr)

After the breakfast you can leave for Kumarakom. Here the means for transportation is through boats and the major attraction is the Vembanad Lake and its majestic canals, streams and distributaries that weave an intricate and enchantingly beautiful web. Take rest at the hotel on arrival and enjoy the evening doing your own activities.

Day 04: Kumarakom

After having the breakfast you can leave the hotel room to explore the Kumarakom.  You can visit the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary from where you can watch a profusion of all kinds of birds. You can watch domestic birds like egrets, teal, cuckoo, wild duck, darters, herons and water fowl and you can also see the Siberian storks which migrate to this region each year. Then you can enjoy your day as you want by watching the Vembanad Lake and its majestic canals, streams and distributaries etc.

Day 05: Kumarakom – Houseboat

After having the breakfast, leave for the boat Jetty and board the traditionally decorated houseboat. You can now enjoy the enchanting backwater cruise that is very famous in Kerala. A glide in a "Kettuvallam" or traditional houseboat of Kerala through the enchanting backwaters will fill you with great surprise and joy. Enjoy the emerald backwaters, sparkling greens, coir-laden houseboats and magical beauty of Kerala in the houseboat.

Day 06: Houseboat – Varkala (110 km – 03 hr)

Have breakfast and then leave for Varkala, which is a calm and quiet village, lying on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram district. This is the place where cloudless sky touching the blue water, the shining white sands and the red soil of the hilltop, united with yellow-green paddy fields and green coconut trees, represents an amalgamated picture of the beauty and awesomeness of the nature. Then you can visit the Papanasam beach, one of the prominent beaches in Varkala and here you can enjoy the breathtaking view of sunset.

Day 07: Varkala

After the breakfast you can get ready to explore the beauty of Varkala and to see the 2000 years old Janardhana Temple. This temple represents the fine art of Kerala and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple has a circular ‘Sanctum sanctorum”, which is surmounted by a conical dome, which is made up of copper sheets. Then the square ‘mandapa' of this temple has the gorgeous wooden carvings of Navagrahas on the ceiling and the temple has copper-plated roof over it. Sivagiri Mutt is a religious site is anther religious site that you can visit and it was founded by Sree Narayana Guru (1856 – 1952). He was the social reformer and famous philosopher of modern Kerala. Kappil Lake gives amazing scenic beauty and the estuaries of the lake are mesmerizing.

Day 08: Varkala – Kovalam (66 km – 01½ hr)

Have breakfast and then leave for Kovalam beach that is the "Paradise of the South". This dreamland is a famous beach destination that is evergreen, pleasant climatic and serene. After taking some rest you can see the amazing sight of the everlasting sea touching the unending sky. Kovalam is the beach paradise that forms a unique aquarelle on moonlight nights and one can see golden sand during day and silver sand in the night.

 Day 09: Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam

After having the breakfast you can precede for Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram, which means Ananthapuri or "the city of Ananthan”. Ananthan is the serpent Sesha on whom Padmanabhan or the Lord Vishnu rests and the temple of Anantha, the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple is the major attraction of the city. Then you can see the famous Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, whose name Kuthiramalika has been derived from the wall painting of 122 wooden horses made on the exterior walls and it means 'palace of horses'. Another famous place that you can visit is the Veli Tourist Village that is known for a beautiful waterfront park having a wide range of aqua entertainment facilities like wading pools and landscaped garden, fishponds etc. Enjoy your evening at Shangumugham Beach where you can watch the amazing sunset.

 Day 10: Kovalam - Kanyakumari (84 km - 02 hr)

After the breakfast you can leave for Kanyakumari that is the land of virgin goddess and is famous for the Amman Temples, dedicated to the virgin Goddess, Kanya Kumari. After offering prayer at the temple you can visit the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Other famous tourist spot is Mahatma Gandhi Memorial that is designed in a way that on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday that is on 2nd October, the first rays of the sun fall at the exact place where his were kept. Thiruvalluvar Statue is another attraction of the city that you can see.

Day 11: Kanyakumari – Trivandrum (95 km – 02½ hr)-Departure

After breakfast pack your baggage to leave the place to reach your home with a promise to return once again to this paradise of earth.
