Itinerary

Day 01: Trivandrum – Kovalam (20 km - 45 min)

Arrive at Trivandrum where our representative will meet you and assist you to reach the hotel in Kovalam. After relaxing for some time, you can get ready to visit the natural beauty of Kovalam. It is perfect tourist destination and the Kovalam beach is known as the "Paradise of the South" and is a serene, evergreen, enticing and pleasant climatic beach destination. You can enjoy watching how the everlasting sea touches the everlasting sky and offer some great opportunities to the tourists. Here you will see golden sand at the day time and silver sand in the night.

Day 02: Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam

Get ready to enjoy the sightseeing of Trivandrum after having the breakfast. Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram means  "the city of Ananthan", and the Ananthan is the serpent Sesha on whom Padmanabhan or Vishnu rests. Then you can visit the Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, whose exterior walls have the frieze of 122 wooden horses and hence, the name is Kuthiramalika, meaning 'palace of horses'. You will also get to see the Veli Tourist Village famous for amazing Waterfront Park that has an excellent range of aqua entertainment facilities like fishponds, wading pools etc. Then you will reach the Shangumugham Beach to watch the amazing sunset.

Day 03: Kovalam - Varkala (66 km – 01½ hr)

After the breakfast proceed to Varkala. Varkala, a calm and quiet hamlet, lies on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram district. The only place where shining white sands, cloudless sky touching the blue water and the red soil of the hilltop, coupled with yellow-green paddy fields, and green coconut trees, make a composite picture of the beauty and awesomeness of nature. Papanasam is one of the prominent beaches in Varkala. The evening sun dipping slowly into the mammoth ocean and filling the whole place with colours red and orange is a breathtaking view. Explore the rest of the day at your own leisure on the beach.

Day 04: Varkala

Have breakfast and then get ready to visit the 2000 years old Janardhana Temple, which is a fine example of Kerala art and architecture and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Another famous tourist destination is the Sivagiri Mutt that was founded by Sree Narayana Guru (1856 – 1952) who was the famous philosopher and social reformer of modern Kerala. Then you will visit the famous Kappil Lake whose estuaries are known for their mesmerizing beauty.

 Day 05: Varkala – Mararikulam (110 km – 03 hr)

After having the breakfast you can leave for Mararikulam, which is the place that has not changed with the passage of time. Mararikulam is a typical fishing village that features beautiful swaying palm and coconut trees and the vast stretch of the sea in a peaceful environment. Mararikulam or Marari offers an unblemished and pristine shoreline to the tourists where one can spend amazing time with the loved ones.

Day 06: Mararikulam

After the breakfast you can leave the hotel room to explore the beaches. Here you can play with the sun-kissed shimmering sands. This beach is a famous tourist destination and is known for nature's bounteous beauty and stunning backwaters. You can feel the tranquility of the village and the spectacular sceneries, the everlasting blue water and glistening sands that will fill your body and mind with great joy.

Day 07: Mararikulam – Houseboat (40 km – 01 hr)

Have breakfast and then get ready to beard the traditionally decorated houseboats to begin the enthralling backwater cruising. Enjoy the glide in a "Kettuvallam" or special houseboat of Kerala through the enchanting backwaters. Feel the magical beauty of backwaters of Kerala that is like a watery universe whose magical beauty can heal your mind and body.

Day 08: Kumarakom

Leave for Kumarakom after having the breakfast. Take some rest at the hotel on arrival and then you can get ready to enjoy the natural beauty of Kumarakom where the means for transportation is by boats. You can watch the amazing Vembanad Lake and the green surroundings.

Day 09: Kumarakom

Get up early in the morning by hearing the chirpy sounds of birds and then get ready to visit the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Here you will see a profusion of all kinds of birds such as wild duck, teal, egrets, darters, cuckoo, herons and water fowl and the migratory birds the Siberian storks. Then have your meal in the lap of nature around the Vembanad Lake. Spend rest of the day by watching the majestic canals, distributaries, streams etc. around the lake.

Day 10: Kumarakom – Kochi (100 km – 02½ hr)

After the breakfast you can go for Kochi city sightseeing tour. Kochi has the best preserved history of colonial times and the major tourist attractions that you can see here are Mattancherry palace or Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue etc.

Day 11: Kochi

After the breakfast you can start packing your belongings to leave the place with lovely memories of the tour and a promise to return once again to this land of remarkable beauty.
