Itinerary

Day 01: Bangalore – Mysore (140 km – 04 hr) 

On arrival at Bangalore Airport or Railway Station our representative will greet you and then will assist you to reach Mysore. On the way you can visit Srirangapatanam where you can see the spectacular island fortress of Srirangapatnam.  Srirangapatnam is the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tippu Sultan. Other famous attract tons that you can see are Daria Doulata – Tippu Sultan’s Summer Palace and then Gumbuz that is Tippu’s Mausoleum. Then reach Mysore that is famous for numerous domes, towers and battlements.

Day 02: Mysore 

Get ready to explore Mysore after having breakfast. You can visit the Maharaja’s Palace that has fascinating treasures and ivory inlaid doors. Then you can visit St. Philomena’s Church that is a beautiful Cathedral reminiscent of Medieval Architecture and has stained glass Windows and lofty Towers. Then visit the Mysore Zoo, established in 19th century and is one of the oldest zoos that houses many endangered species. Then go outside the city to Chamundi Hills where you can see huge Nandi Bull statue. Later in the evening you can explore Brindavan Gardens and the World Famous Terrace Gardens that is embellished with Musical Fountains and, swirling water, colorful lights and melodious music that all make it a dreamland in the night. This fabulous ornamental garden is proudly located at the base of Krishnaraja Sagar dam made across Cauvery River. 

Day 03: Mysore - Ooty (164 km – 04½ hr) 

Today you will leave for Ooty that is the land of Green Mountains and crimson roses. On the you can explore some other attraction such as Bandipur and Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuaries along with Kalhatty Waterfalls, a marvelous waterfall. These wildlife sanctuaries offer shelter to tigers, wild elephants, panthers, leopards, 1,000 gaur (Indian bison), bonnet monkeys, bears, horned antelopes, hyenas, flying squirrels and eagles. Take some rest at the hotel room on arrival and then leave for further sightseeing of Ooty. You can see the famous Botanical Garden where you can find numerous varieties of flowering bushes, plants and flowers. You will also see the fern house in this garden that has a vast range of ferns and orchids. The garden also has a clear pool. Ooty Lake is another attraction that has an irregular L shape and stretches for more than 2 km in length. The Dodabetta Peak is the specialty of Ooty and is proudly located at an altitude of 2,623 meters and is the highest point of Nilgiris hills.

Day 04: Ooty 

Have breakfast and then leave for Coonoor, famous for the tea plantations. Here you will see the Pasteur Institute, opposite to the Sim's Park that is another major attraction. Sim's Park features special plantation scheme that adds charm to the park. Eight sections and the winding footpaths spread all over the park make it more beautiful. Then you will see the Lamb's Rock, 8 km from Coonoor, located on the way to Dolphin's Nose. Laws Falls is another major attraction which is a beautiful picnic spot and is located at Coonoor-Mettupalayam road. The height of the falls is about 180 feet and is called the paradise for Nature lovers.

Day 05: Ooty – Kodaikanal (280 km - 07 hr) 

Have breakfast and then leave for Kodaikanal visiting Silver Cascades, the most beautiful and famous waterfall of Kodaikanal, on the way. On arrival at Kodaikanal take some rest and then leave for sightseeing. Kodaikanal is very fascinating and charming tourist destination on Palani Hills in Tamil Nadu. Here you will see the Kodaikanal Lake, which is a man-made lake where one can enjoy Rowing boats, Public ferry, Pedalling boats and Horse riding. Coaker's Walk is another destination that is very famous here. You can see Dolphin's Nose in South and the valley of the Pambar River in South East. You will see the Bird’s eye view of Periyakulam and even city of Madurai. 

Day 06: Kodaikanal 

Have breakfast and then leave the hotel room to visit Kodaikanal are Museum at Shenbaganur. You will also visit the South Indian hill forests famous for stuffed-birds and the butterflies. You can see variety of birds classified into ground birds, water birds and tree birds. Then get ready to visit the Dolmen Circle that has pre-historic remains dating back to 5000 BC. Other attractions are Berijam Lake and Pillar Rocks that has three granite boulders measuring height of about 122 meters (400 feet). You can also see the famous Neptune's Pools that are a series of crystal clear rock pools, which are formed by a stream running through pine forests.

Day 07: Kodaikanal – Bangalore (480 km – 12 hr) 

Have breakfast and then leave for Bangalore. Take some rest at the hotel on arrival and then leave to explore the major tourist attractions such as Vidhana Soudha, a glorious building of the Neo-Dravidian style, which houses the State Legislature. Visit the Ulsoor Lake that has islands too where one can sit and relax. Then visit the famous Lalbagh, famous for nurturing the concept of horticulture and helping the development of horticulture. Then visit the famous Cubbon Park that is famous for the marble statues of Queen Victoria and Edward VII.

Day 08: Bangalore 

Pack your luggage after having breakfast and then leave the place with some sweet memories and a promise to come again to enjoy the natural beauty.
